Hydraulic Hose Test Stand
This test facility is designed for engineering and quality assurance testing of hydraulic hose assemblies in accordance with SAE J343, SAE J1405 and JIS K 6349. Tooling within the shielded enclosure (shown above and in detail) below allows mounting hoses from 1/4" through 2" for testing. Up to 6 hoses may be tested simultaneously (depending on size). They may be impulse tested or continuously flexed and impulse pressurized at up to 670 bar. Such qualification data is often required by many large mobile equipment OEM purchasers.
The cabinet just behind the operator console is for proof, burst, or change in length testing at pressures up to 2000 bar. Shown just below is the flex-impulse fixture.
To enhance component life and reliability, high pressures are limited to a small number of components in the intensifier section which can be easily be replaced.
Shown above is the cold bend test fixture which uses liquid nitrogen to cool test hoses to temperatures of -40C. After sufficient time at temperature, hoses are mandrel bent to 90 or 180 degrees as required.
A unique system of microprocessors provides control and data acquisition. REN test stands are designed to operate selectably on 380V. 50 Hz through 480V. 60 Hz to permit easy adaptation to manufacturing plants anywhere in the world.
